Questions:
Answer: You can’t break a penis they way you
can break an arm or leg because unlike an arm or leg, the penis
doesn’t have any bones in it. People occasionally assume that
erections are due to some mysterious appearance of the “penis bone.”
Sorry, no such bone exists. A
guy actually gets an erection when more blood flows into his penis than
flows out. This blood collects in erectile tissue called the corpus
cavernosa and is responsible for those protrusions so fondly refered to
as boners (and we wonder where the confusion comes from). Yet,
while it is impossible to ‘break’ a penis, an erect penis can get
fractured. This is not a
common occurrence but it can happen if a guy’s penis gets hit
extremely hard or is bent while erect.
Were a fracture to occur it is likely that man would hear a
cracking noise and experience intense pain. Fractures are not things you
can easily ignore. If a guy thinks he might have fractured his penis it
is crucial that he get to an emergency room. Failure to treat this could
result in impotence.
